Coviran Introduces Loyalty Programme In Portugal
Spanish cooperative Coviran has implemented its Clube Familia customer loyalty programme in six of its supermarkets in Northern Portugal.
The retailer's supermarkets in Frescos de Amor (Leiria), Cabaz da Felicidade (Sintra), Irmãos Esteves Lima (Viana do Castelo), Mercadinho do Bairro (Amadora) Francisco do Serro (Mexilhoeira) and Minimercado Nela (Sesimbra) have already started issuing loyalty cards to customers.
Coviran says that the programme will include, among other things, launching promotions with leading brands, multi-channel interaction with consumers, and specific initiatives for partners.
The novelty for customers is that they can now view offers and print out their discount coupons at an in-store digital kiosk.
In Spain, the Coviran Clube Familia loyalty programme has been in place for over seven years, with 550,000 families using the card in more than 1,000 supermarkets across the country.
Coviran currently operates 330 supermarkets in Portugal. It has become the third largest retailer in the country in terms of number of establishments, according to Nielsen, accounting for 2.15% of the sector.
Last year, the retailer posted sales of €106 million in Portugal and €1,154 million in Spain.
