Dairy Firm Müller Confirms New Chief Executive
German-based dairy firm Müller has appointed Werner Stegmüller as its new global chief executive, just-food.com has reported.
The former chief operating officer of the firm, who joined the company in June 2017, was officially promoted to the CEO role in April, according to a spokesperson.
Uwe Sommer, the previous CEO, has reportedly left the yogurt-maker. He began his tenure in the top position early last year, leaving his position as head of international sales and marketing at Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprüngli.
He had succeeded Ronald Kers, who became global CEO in 2015 after his stint as managing director of Müller’s operations in the UK and Ireland, starting in 2012.
Kers Announced CEO Of Major Food Manufacturer
On Thursday, Kers was announced as the CEO of British food manufacturer 2 Sisters Food Group, effective from 1 June.
2 Sisters' former CEO, Ranjit Singh Boparan, stepped down from the role in February, citing a desire to take "a broader industry leadership role". He is now the president of parent company Boparan Holdings Ltd.
