FrieslandCampina Introduces New Management Structure

Dutch dairy group FrieslandCampina has implemented a number of changes to its management structure.

With the move, the company is aiming to accelerate its transformation and further increase its agility.

FrieslandCampina has reorganised its executive board, which currently comprises the CEO and CFO, to include new members such as a president of food and beverage and a chief people officer.

Renewed Executive Leadership Team

The renewed executive leadership team will see all business units and strategic functions come together, the company said.

It expects the changes to result in fewer management layers, better decision-making, and accelerated implementation of the group's business strategy.

Hein Schumacher, CEO of FrieslandCampina, said the changes in management structure mean "decisions can be taken quickly and in a cohesive manner."

Schumacher added that the group operates in a "dynamic world," where it is essential to respond to "changing circumstances," and the new structure suits this marketplace.

The supervisory board has approved the proposed changes to the top management structure, and asked the relevant works council for advice. The company expects to introduce the new management structure on 1 March 2021.
