Drinks company Heineken announced Wednesday that it would be teaming up with Deliveroo to bring cold bottles of beer and cider to UK customers' homes, justdrinks.com reported.
The new venture, dubbed 'Brew House', will be an online delivery system accessible through the Deliveroo app.
Suppliers are given a tablet to process orders, and drivers for the food delivery service will pick up orders from off licenses and independent retailers.
Simon Amor, off-trade sales director for Heineken UK, said: "The home delivery market for restaurant food has boomed in recent years, and there is a significant opportunity for us as a drinks company to grow within the delivery sector. Our collaboration with Deliveroo enables us to enter this fast-growing market."
