Dr. Oetker Starts Training Programme For Bielefeld Apprentices
Pizza and baking products manufacturer Dr. Oetker has announced that it is starting to train its 28 new apprentices in the city of Bielefeld, Germany.
Twenty three of the new apprentices will start training to become an industrial buyer, industrial mechanic, food technology specialist, or electronics technician, while five of them will begin a dual apprentice-study programme. This increases the total number of Dr. Oetker’s trainees in Bielefeld to 75.
At the end of July 2017, Dr. Oetker introduced the #azubidigital initiative, which is aimed at providing trainees with a digital education. Within the initiative, trainees are able to pursue their own startup ideas and develop concepts in a team.
The company says that all apprentices will be assigned to work in one of Dr. Oetker’s foreign locations for at least three months during their training. In 2017, thirteen foreign assignments are planned.
“We are happy to have great new personalities join the company,” said Nora Thelen, head of talent acquisition and employer branding at Dr. Oetker. “A qualitative and well-structured training period awaits the new trainees that will prepare them for the job market and future positions.”
