AB InBev Buys China's Siping Berwery

Anheuser-Busch InBev has acquired the Siping Ginsber Draft Beer Co. Ltd in China, maker of Ginsber beer.

Belgium-based AB InBev confirmed it recently acquired the Chinese brewery, for an undisclosed amount. 

The Siping Ginsber brewery is located in China's Jilin province and has an annual prduction capacity of around 80 million litres.

A-B InBev has added breweries overseas in recent years to grow global sales, and last year, it launched Budweiser Supreme, a super premium line extension sold in 20 major cities in China.

This year, St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, the North American headquarters for A-B InBev, sent Clydesdales to China to participate in Chinese New Year celebrations commemorating 2014 as the year of the horse.
