Ahold's Gall & Gall Grows Speciality Beer Range

Gall & Gall, Ahold's speciality off-licences and online store, is now offering customers a greater range of speciality beers, owing to the 'greater demand' for such beverages, according to Ahold.

30 new speciality beer products have been added to the range, with 'on average 30-40% more speciality beers per store', according to Ahold.

Gall & Gall have extended the range 'considerably', improved the presentation and have introduced a 'Pick & Mix' concept, whereby customers can choose six beers for the price of five.

The Dutch alcohol retailer is seeking to be regarded as the 'accessible alcoholic beverages specialist', and, to meet that demand, all speciality beers will now available individually by the bottle, according to Ahold.

The alcohol retailer has identified four beer groupings ('Blonde', 'Dark', 'Tripel' and 'Other Special Beers') to help customers make their selection when shopping in-store or online. According to Ahold, 'this helps customers to find their favourite beer quickly, as well as to find a different beer within the same flavour category more easily'.
