El Corte Inglés Opens New Leon the Baker Section In Madrid

Spanish retailer El Corte Inglés has opened a new Leon the Baker section adjacent to its supermarket in its centre in Goya, Madrid.

The retailer houses another kiosk of the gluten-free artisan bakery in the Castellana Supermarket in Madrid.

Leon the Baker's confectionery products are also available in 14 El Corte Inglés supermarkets, 12 Hipercor hypermarkets, and 12 Supercor shops across Spain, the retailer added.

The collaboration between El Corte Inglés and Leon the Baker is in line with the retailer’s commitment to quality and variety in its range of healthy and specialised products for food intolerances.

Launched in 2014 in London, Leon the Baker specialises in discovering new ways to use gluten-free ingredients, without resorting to industrial substitutes and compromising on the taste. eThe company entered the Spanish market in 2016.

The bakery section of Leon The Baker in El Corte Inglés offers some of its typical products, such as gluten-, lactose-, nut- and egg-free loaves.

The loaves are available in different variants such as buckwheat, teff loaf with poppy seeds, millet and sourdough, among others.

Another highlight is its Tuscan bread with a filling of green and black olives, dried tomatoes, and aromatic herbs from Provence.

Recently, Leon The Baker introduced an innovative Fit Bread, designed to be incorporated into diets.
