Heineken Announces €15m Investment in Serbian Brewery

Heineken has announced it is investing €15 million in Serbian brewer Zaječarska Pivara over the next two years as part of an ongoing restructuring process.

The brewery is part of Heineken Srbija since 2008 and the Dutch brewing company has so far invested €23 million.

The brewery recently began producing Zaječarsko Crno, a black beer that combines four types of malt: light, special, caramel and black.

Besides Zaječarska Pivara, Heineken Srbija also owns the former Pivara MB brewery in Novi Sad.

The brand portfolio is made up of: Heineken, Amstel Premium Pilsner, Kapuziner Weissbier, Krušovice Imperial, Newcastle Brown Ale, Sol, Strongbow, Zaječarsko, Zaječarsko Crno, Laško Zlatorog, Weifert, PilsPlus and Master Beer.
