Italy’s CAVIT Sees Wine Sales And Export Levels Increase

Italian wine collective CAVIT (Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino) grew by 6.6% in 2015, reaching €177.9 million worth of sales. This performance is directly linked with a recent commercial restructuring undertaken at the business.

The company’s exports – which accounts for 80% of total sales figures – has increased by +7.6%, especially thanks to increased trade in North America and Mexico. In Italy, the growth rate is 5.8%.

Over the past few months, the company has reinforced its position in the retail trade and in the Horeca sector, and brands such as Mastri Vernacoli, Altemasi or Müller have seen significant growth.

CAVIT is a collective of 10 wine companies and 4,500 wine producers in Trentino Alto Adige, in the northern part of the country.
