Magners Irish Ciders To Be Exported To Indonesia

C&C Group has announced that Indonesian importer PT Pantja Artha Niaga (PAN) will be the brand's sole importer and nationwide distributor for Indonesia. Magners Irish Cider is produced in Ireland by the C&C Group; varieties include Original, Berry and Pear.

"We are delighted to announce this new partnership with PT Pantja Artha Niaga in Indonesia, and look forward to growing the cider category throughout the country with the team," said Andrew Herd, marketing manager of C&C Group’s Asia Pacific division. "Indonesia is the latest market for Magners to enter in the Asia-Pacific region and we look forward to capitalising on the opportunities this presents."

Forecasting growth in the cider market in Indonesia, brand manager Pricilla Aprilasih of PT Pantja Artha Niaga, added: "Having Magners in the Indonesian market will broaden consumers’ knowledge about quality cider, and it presents a great opportunity within our portfolio."

Ireland-based C&C Group, which owns the Magners cider and Tennent’s beer brands, reported an operating profit decline of 7.9% in the first half of the year, to €55.1 million.
