More Than 70 Per Cent Of Spanish Consumers Use ECommerce

Ecommerce is on the rise in Spain, a study has found. Some 71.2 per cent of Spanish consumers said they currently buy products online, with 36.3 per cent purchasing online at least once or twice a month and 34.9 per cent doing so every two or three months.

As reported by gondoladigital.com, the figures were obtained from a report on eCommerce habits by Trusted Shops.

The report also points out that price is the most decisive factor for a consumer choosing an online shop (93.2 per cent), followed by the security features offered by the store (92.8 per cent), the credibility of the offer (90.2 per cent) and consumer protection (89.7 per cent).

Another element that matters for Spanish online consumers are are quality endorsements. They're more likely to buy from an online shop with a recognise seal of quality (80.3 per cent). User reviews are also a determinant factor in the purchase decision: 45.1 per cent always look for other people's comments before buying online, while 51.4 per cent do it occasionally. Only 3.5 per cent never check reviews.
