Eataly Set To Open First UK Store In London

Italian food emporium Eataly is set to open its first UK store in London in 2020.

The retailer has signed an agreement to lease a location at Broadgate's 135 Bishopgate, near Spitalfields and Shoreditch, with 42,000 square feet of selling space on the ground and first floors of the building.

The new store will feature a wide selection of Italian products, as well as a restaurant, bar, on-site production facilities, and a cookery school.

Expansion Plans

“Visiting Borough Market before opening our first Eataly in Italy was a source of great inspiration for our concept," said Luca Baffigo, CEO of Eataly.

"This is why opening a place in London where people can buy, eat and learn is a very important and exciting milestone for us. Being able to bring our model into a place that is so significant for us fills us with satisfaction and stimulates us to create in London a wonderful multifunctional experience.”
