ECR Community Shrink & OSA Group Unveils Details Of Lisbon Meeting

The ECR Community Shrink & OSA Group has unveiled details of its latest meeting, which is set to take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on October 23rd and 24th.

The meeting follows on from a similar get-together at the KLU Logistics University in Hamburg earlier this summer, at which retail executives, consumer goods firms and academics debated effective measures to deal with the growing issue of food waste.

ESM reported on this Hamburg meeting in our most recent issue – read the full article here.

In Lisbon, topics for discussion will include best practices to deal with waste in production categories such as Bakery and Deli; methods to improve expiry date visibility along the supply chain, and Portugal's National Zero Waste programme, an ambitious project to make Portugal waste-free.

Delegates will also have the chance to experience the best of Portuguese retail first-hand, as part of a store tour programme.
