Eroski Reopens Elche Hypermarket After €1 Million Investment

Spanish retailer Eroski has reopened its hypermarket in the l’Aljub shopping centre, located in the town of Elche, Alicante, following an investment of €1 million.

The main focus of the renovated store will be on fresh and local products, organic ranges, healthy eating options, and an increased range of oils, pastries, coffees and teas. The store offers more than 7,000 products, with over 10,000 available online.

The store employs 45 staff and also features a low-cost gas station.

Sustainable Commitment

Eroski sells more than 6,600 products from Valencian producers and collaborates with around 500 local suppliers.

"We promote a more sustainable and widely diversified agro-food sector for the commercialisation of food produced in the area of influence of each store," said hypermarket manager Juan Carlos Pina.

The store also intends to promote environmental sustainability, by redesigning its features for more efficient energy management.

"The transformation is not only about remodelling the establishment, but about achieving a radical turn to differentiate it from any other competitive establishment," he concluded.
