EuroCIS 2013 Gets Underway

Dusseldorf is humming with EuroCIS 2013. The seventh year of the leading industry show begins today (19 Feb) and will run until Thursday (21 Feb) with some 250 companies exhibiting in the 6,500 square feet space.

EuroCIS sees leading international IT and retail security providers present their latest products and tailor-made solutions for retail, while the EuroCIS Forum offers an extensive series of lectures over the three days of the event, featuring presentations with practical examples as well as highlighting trends in IT and security technology.

As the leading trade fair for the retail technology sector, the who's who of the industry is always in attendance. This year's sold out event features high profile exhibitors from 25 countries including Wincor Nixdorf, NCR, Honeywell, IBM, Bizerba, Casio, Fujitsu, GK Software, Ingenico, Mettler Toledo, Motorola Solutions and SAP. Last year's show attracted around 6,500 trade visitors, with a similar figure expected this year.

With the increasing importance of multi-channel and e-commerce, there will be a daily Multi-Channel Forum from the Institute for Trade Research (IFH Cologne). This forum, "Multi-Channel in practice - strategies, concepts and solutions", will be held parallel to the exhibition ground for the three days in Hall 9 Stand A. Visitors can expect an eclectic programme of talks from industry experts, on e-commerce and its effect on communications, the stores of the future will be explored looking at Click & Collect, virtual stores and mobile checkouts and payment, among other topics.

ESM will be on site today (19 Feb) and tomorrow (20 Feb), with special advertising and editorial oppotunities available for exhibitors. If you would like to set up a meeting with one of our team email Kevin Kelly at [email protected].
