Enter The European Private Label Awards 2021 – Celebrating Excellence In Store Brand Innovation
*** SAVE THE DATE – DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES 30 OCTOBER ***
The COVID-19 crisis has led to a surge in grocery sales, something that is likely to continue in the face of a challenging economic outlook.
As we look ahead to a 'new normal', shoppers are looking for products that not just offer value for money, but also seek to inspire, offer reliability, and tap into much-changed consumer need states. In many cases, this role is being occupied by private label, a segment that is only likely to grow in importance in the coming months and years.
The emphasis is therefore on retailers and manufacturers to meet that demand.
About The Awards
The European Private Label Awards was established by ESM: European Supermarket Magazine to commemorate the most impactful and innovative store brands on sale across the European grocery sector.
Now in their fourth year, the judging process for the 2021 edition of the Awards takes place in November, with the winners set to be announced early next year.
Last year's competition welcomed more entrants than in any previous hosting of the Awards, as leading grocery operators in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Denmark, Turkey, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, the UK and Portugal were named among the 44 finalists.

As in years past, ESM will call on an esteemed panel of judges from across Europe, comprising a number of noted private label experts, to assess the products in terms of several key criteria, including innovation, taste, presentation and value for money.
