Albert Heijn To Roll Out Digital Savings Feature In June

Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced plans to roll out a new feature in its app in June, that will allow customers to save stamps earned from their purchases digitally.

The new feature will replace the paper stamps and savings books that customers have been using to redeem their credit.

For every euro spent at Albert Heijn’s, €0.10 will be automatically credited in the stamps overview section of the AH app.

The retailer will also give a 6% interest on the accumulated savings.

Therefore, for a savings booklet with 490 stamps (€49) customers will receive a credit of €52.

For purchases at Albert Heijn stores, the points will be added by scanning the customer’s Bonus Card at the checkout counter.

Customers who have an incomplete stamp book at present, will be allowed to complete their book until 31 December 2020, the retailer added.
