Bell Food Group Announces Organisational Restructuring Plan

Switzerland's Bell Food Group has announced measures to reorganise its corporate structure, and has reshuffled its executive board.

As part of the restructuring, the company plans to expand its production capacity in the fresh convenience food category in the German market.

The former Bell Germany and Bell International units will be merged into a new Bell International business area.

Within the Bell International business area, the existing Bell International division will be renamed as Bell Western/Eastern Europe division. It will comprise the Bell France, Bell Poland, and Bell Hungary units.

Independent IT Department

Elsewhere, the IT unit will be hived off from the Finance/Services business area to form a new central executive department.

With its own central executive department, IT will be strengthened in organisational terms and equipped to handle the growing complexity.

The organisational changes will be implemented on 1 July 2019.

Executive Board

The group executive board will consist of the heads of the company's various business areas. The Bell Switzerland business area will continue to be managed by CEO Lorenz Wyss.

Present CFO, Marco Tschanz will take over as head of the new Bell International business area as well as the central IT executive department.

Volker Baltes will join the food group as head of the Convenience business area and Xavier Buro as its CFO.

Former members of the group executive board, Daniel Böhny and Christian Schröder will take charge as division heads.

New Facility

Elsewhere, Bell is constructing  a new, modern convenience facility in Marchtrenk in Austria.

In addition to producing fresh convenience range, the facility's surplus capacity will be used for the production of meat convenience products.

The planned expansion of the current product range will make it possible for the Bell Food Group to offer customers an attractive and modern range of fresh convenience products.
