Bennet Opens First Store in Milan, Acquires Two More Stores

Italian hypermarket chain Bennet opened its first superstore in Milan after acquiring seven former Auchan Retail Italia stores.

The 2,000 square-meter Viale Monza store opened this month after being remodelling to match the Bennet style.

The store features a simple layout and an innovative distribution of spaces to ensure clarity for customers and enable a speedy shopping experience.

The design reflects Bennet’s priorities - a focus on fresh products and strong integration with digital.

The retailer plans to activate more services by the end of the year, including e-commerce.

Product Range

The store offers products from the Filiera Valore Bennet private label line as well as a wide range of 100% Italian, organic products.

The store also offers a line of ecological detergent; healthy, vegan and vegetarian products under the Bennet brand; and butchery and fish market departments.

The pricing is aligned with the policies of the brand with a quality/price ratio based on convenience, together with periodic promotions.

Customers can opt for different payment methods such as mobile payment or self-checkout. The store is equipped with 12 fast, self check-out tills as well as 12 traditional ones.

Store Rebranding

This month, Bennet also completed the rebranding of two former Auchan stores in Nerviano (5,800 square metres) and Codogno (3,100 square metres).

As part of its growth strategy in the Lombardy region, the retailer acquired two stores from Margherita Distribuzione (former Auchan Retail Italia): the Auchan hypermarket in Monza and the IperSimply superstore in Milan/Viale Corsica.

This takes the total number of stores recently acquired by the retailer to nine and the total number of Bennet stores to 73.

The retailer's rebranding programme foresees the conversion and integration of all acquired stores with the Bennet network by the end of October, the company added.
