Dairy giant FrieslandCampina has announced the appointment of Heiko Schipper as a member of its supervisory board.
He has held marketing and sales executive positions at Nestlé in Europe and Asia.
He served as the CEO of Nestlé Nutrition and a member of the executive board of Nestlé SA.
He is an experienced international marketing and sales professional specialising in nutrition goods.
Presently, Schipper is the president of Bayer Consumer Health and member of the management board of Bayer AG.
FrieslandCampina has also appointed Elze Jellema as a member of its board, effective 17 December 2019.
Jellema was a member of the dairy cooperative's Members’ Council up to 2018 and represented the district of southwest Friesland.
She owns a dairy farm in Smallebrugge, in southwest Friesland in the Netherlands.
Chairman Frans Keurentjes welcomed her to the board and added, "We know her as a committed, and critical in a positive sense, dairy farmer with an eye for the interests of members and the environment in which both the cooperative and business operate. "
Jellema will join the supervisory board of Royal FrieslandCampina along with Angelien Kemna.
Kemna is an experienced asset management professional, who most recently held CIO and CFO/CRO positions at APG group.
Before that, she served as the CEO of ING Investment Management Europe and held academic professorships in finance and governance.
Kemna also holds several non-executive and advisory positions in other companies, the dairy giant said.
Kemna and Schipper will replace Ben van der Veer and Tex Gunning, who stepped down from their positions after 10 and eight years respectively.
