Mercadona To Supply Hygiene Products To Ifema Hospital

Mercadona, in collaboration with Spain's UME (Military Emergency Unit) in Spain, has announced plans to deliver basic hygiene products to the Ifema Campaign Hospital.

Supplies being sent to the field hospital, which is located in Madrid, will include, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo gels, razors and shaving cream, in addition to other essential items.

Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis, Mercadona has donated over 60 tonnes of food and basic hygiene products to the community of Madrid, both to the Ifema field hospital and to other social entities.

Commenting on the initiative, Eduardo Sanchís, manager of the security division at Mercadona said, "With all those who are helping in this crisis, especially in this case with the UME, [we want] to help those who are admitted to this hospital with basic hygiene products.”
