Müller Yogurt & Desserts has announced the appointment of David Hollins as the commercial director of its private-label and foodservice divisions.
The company has also named sales director of Hovis UK, Jonathan Piper, to lead the sales team of Müller Yogurt & Desserts.
Hollins will replace Bill Mathieson, the outgoing commercial director of Müller Yogurt & Desserts.
Mathieson is scheduled to leave the company in January 2020, and take up a senior role outside the organisation, Müller said in its statement.
'Changing Needs Of The Markets'
Bergen Merey, managing director at Müller Yogurt & Desserts, commented, "The creation of these two senior roles will align our commercial organisation with the rapidly changing needs of the markets we serve.
"We look forward to welcoming Jonathan and David to their new roles, and thank Bill for his significant contribution over the last six years."
Hollins is an industry veteran with around three decades of experience in the dairy sector.
Most recently, he served as the head of the private-label business unit at Müller Yogurt & Desserts. He worked for 12 years with Lactalis and Lactalis Nestlé before joining Müller in 2012.
He was responsible for setting up Müller's private-label yoghurt and dessert business, which completed a £50 million (€58.63 million) expansion earlier this year.
Elsewhere, Piper will be responsible for Müller Yogurt & Desserts' branded activity in the UK and Ireland.
Before joining Hovis, Piper was the sales director of Kellogg’s. He also spent three years within Müller as the sales director and business unit head of the Ireland business.
