Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott has launched a chilled soup range that will be available in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons this week. The new product comes in a convenient microwavable tub and in a variety of flavours such as Malaysian Lentil, Tuscan Cherry Tomato, and Yorkshire Carrott and Rocket.
Symington's approached Ainsley Harriott back in 2002 with a partnership agreement to develop a range of great tasting dried foods that were convenient to prepare. From the first launch of flavoured Cous Cous in 2002 we now have extensive ranges of cup soups, rice, risottos, amazing grains, pan soups, sauce mixes and the latest brand new snack pots.
Campbell's soup brand is down 15.7% to £9.6. Harrott's new soup will be competing with the likes of Bachelors and Heinz soup.
