Italian food company Conserve Italia has launched a new traceability project for its Valfrutta peaches products.
As part of the intiative, a QR Code on the label, next to the wording 'Scopri la mia origine' ('Discover my origin'), allows access to the traceability section of the brand’s website.
There, consumers can access all the information about the product, the farm, the farmer who grew the peaches, the variety, the harvest period and date of processing.
More than 30 farms, which are members of Conserve Italia's cooperatives, are involved in the traceability project.
As well as the traceability project, Conserve Italia is also promoting the launch of a new line of fruit pieces without added sugars, also under the Valfrutta brand.
