Veganz Publishes Study On Veganism In Europe

Veganz, the market leader for vegan food in Germany, has published what it says is the first representative study on veganism in Europe.

According to the study, consumers tend to choose a vegan lifestyle in order to protect animals, the environment and their own health and wellbeing.

Vegans also tend to buy more often from organic grocery stores and cook more often than non-vegans, it found.

The study surveyed 24,000 people in 15 countries from across Europe. It was published just prior to World Vegan Day on 1 November.

World Vegan Day was introduced in 1994 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vegan Society.
