Ahold Hire 3 New SVP's in USA

Dutch retailer Ahold has announced that it has appointed three new Senior Vice Presidents in its US operations.

According to Supermarketnews.com, the new SVP's will be responsible for healthy living, merchandising and communications. This is in conjunction with Ahold's plan to restructure its central support organization.

This restructure is expected to eliminate 120 jobs at Ahold, which amounts to approximately 6 per cent of its existing staff.

The new SVP's, announced by Ahold on Wednesday, are Nick Bertram (currently SVP of store strategy and execution), Steve Rowell (currently SVP and deputy general counsel) and Marissa Nelson (currently SVP of merchandising services and support.)

Elsewhere, Ahold's Giant Carlisle retail brand has been named 2015 Chain Retailer of the Year by Grocery Headquarters, a US retail magazine.
