Iberconsa Looking To Expand Pan-European Distribution Network

Grupo Iberica de Congelados (Iberconsa) is seeking to develop its European distribution network through the Wabel Frozen Summit, which takes place in Paris on 11 and 12 March.

More than 30 years of experience and product development have seen Iberconsa develop into a global leader when it comes to supplying different species of white fish and shellfish, such as hake and shrimp.

Hake (Cape Hake, Merlu blanc): Iberconsa processes around 45,000 tonnes yearly, with more than 30,000 tonnes captured and processed at its facilities in Namibia and South Africa (MSC Hake), and 15,000 of Hubbsi Hake caught and processed at its facilities in Argentina.

Shrimps (Gambón, Argentina Red Shrimp): All shrimp is captured in the wild and frozen on board its vessels, with Iberconsa processing to various specifications (HOSO, HLSO, PUD, P&D) at its facilities. The company processes around 5,000 tonnes of wild shrimp.

Squid (Argentina Squid): All squid is captured in the wild and frozen on board its vessels, to be processed at its facilities in Argentina and Spain. The company processes around 4,000 tonnes of squid yearly.
