Imoon: Italian Innovation In Lighting Drives New Growth

Imoon, a dynamic company that in a very short time has grown to become a leader in the global lighting market for the food and retail sectors, keeps growing at a fast pace.

The Italian company had an excellent 2017, posting a 30% revenue increase over the previous fiscal year, and a great start to the first quarter of 2018.

Imoon is looking to the future with excitement and confidence, and is determined to continue providing top quality lighting solutions.

'Starting Point'

“We are extremely satisfied with the goals achieved,"said Riccardo Tarquinio, chief executive of Imoon. "But these were only a starting point, not a finish line.

"Hence, we renew our promise to further strengthen the leadership we have gained in the Italian food retail sector, establishing fruitful collaborations with all of the most important retail chains and enhancing our presence in global markets, where we have commenced an important expansion plan that is providing significant results."

Tarquinio added that the company's core mission "remains unchanged: to value 100% Made in Italy solutions, tailor-made according to our customers’ needs, and provide added value services, striving for continual innovation.”

On the positive start to 2018, Tarquinio said that Imoon continues to grow and invest, with the aim of capturing new market opportunities.

"To this purpose, we have launched new technology-oriented products, which are characterised by creativity and effectiveness,” he explained.

“In such a challenging environment, Imoon will continue focusing on providing truly tailor-made lighting solutions, focused on both domestic and international markets."

New Product Development

Products that in the months ahead are likely to drive demand and determine further growth include the Luminaires range and the new Makris range, a design concept that was first presented at Euroshop 2017, and was also showcased at the Convention Sales 2018 event, held in Milan in February.

“Innovation plays a fundamental role, and we are not going to stop," said Pierluigi Gusmani, Imoon’s international sales director.

"On the contrary, we will keep on renewing and improving our product offer, focusing on flexibility, a characteristic that is increasingly demanded by the market. We can count on a highly qualified and motivated sales network that we are absolutely sure will help us achieve new, important goals."

Gusmani highlighted some of the company's most recent collaborations with top retail players, saying, "In 2017, we implemented 19 projects with Carrefour in Turkey, following the introduction of a new format; with Auchan we have now reached 40 installed projects; and with the new Linella chain in Moldova, we have realised 10 installations.”

Imoon: Italian Technology

Imoon highlights the importance of its increased range of products and solutions, which are being continuously improved.

Its range is not a simple product showcase, but a longstanding and emotional history, comprising projects and installations that are able to show - and almost touch by hand - what it means to conceive, plan and manufacture lighting solutions in food retail.

Imoon’s 2018 catalogue displays a wide, varied, rich and elegant series of modular and customisable solutions, designed with energy saving principles in mind, according to the best of Made in Italy design.

From Suspended Luminaries to Lighting Tracks, and from Recessed Luminaires to Projectors, the new Imoon catalogue describes the different brands in an easy and accessible way. This helps customers make better informed choices according to their specific needs, whether it be from the Venere Pro or Kronos ranges, or from the Roc or Kimi lines, without forgetting the Alpha, HB, Energy 65 Led and Basic System Led series.

For example, the Venere Pro family was designed to fulfil any lighting need in food retail, and offers a complete range of specific LEDs suitable for different store areas.

Namely, this includes ‘LED Meat’ to enhance the red colour of meat. This is also available in a 'Meat Fish HD' version for meat and fish, which suggests higher freshness and is able to enhance the different colour qualities.

Elsewhere, the ‘LED Extra Warm’ version gives a warmer light, making it ideal for bakery and pastry.

In order to meet the need for specific LEDs, Imoon also presented the ‘LED Full Color’, that features the ideal colour rendering for all products. Finally, the company's range of Reflectors has also been widened, to include a growing number of tailor-made potential configurations.
