Anuga Registration Figures Looking Good, Four Months Ahead Of Show

Anuga, the world's biggest food trade fair, is reporting 'very good' registration figures four months out from the start of the event, which runs from 7 to 11 October in Cologne, Germany.

In total, some 7,200 exhibitors from 100 countries are expected to participate in this year's event, and the organisers are confident that Anuga will be the 'benchmark for all food trade fairs worldwide again in 2017, in terms of both quality and quantity'.

10 Trade Shows Under One Roof

Anuga 2017 will operate essentially as '10 trade shows under one roof', offering new concepts for the first time such as Anuga Hot Beverages, which will examine trends and innovations in the tea and coffee markets, and Anuga Culinary Concepts, which will examine cooking skills, technology, equipment and gastronomy concepts.

As well as these, the event will also play host to Anuga Fine Food, the trade show for delicatessen, gourmet and basic food; Anuga Frozen Food; Anuga Meat; Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food, which encompasses fresh convenience foods, fresh delicatessen, fish, fruit & vegetables; Anuga Dairy; Anuga Bread & Bakery; Anuga Drinks, which encompasses both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; and Anuga Organic, which taps into the growing global organic food trend.

Each of these events will also have their own special showcase areas - at the Anuga Fine Food expo, for example, olive oil will be represented by an international olive oil congress. Similarly, at Anuga Drinks, an 'Anuga Wine Special' will showcase the latest trends and innovations in this category.
