Croatia's Lino Lada Named 'Best Ice Cream In The World' By IICC

Croatian ice cream Lino Lada has been named the best ice cream in the world by the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC), media reports suggest.

The competition was held in Sweden, with judges praising the unique shape of the Lino Lada ice cream and the innovative soft dressing.

Lino Lada duo ice cream is a combination of hazelnut cream and milk cream wrapped in nougat, with a milk chocolate topping.

The ice cream, developed by leading Croatian ice cream manufacturer Ledo in cooperation with local food company Podravka, was launched in April of this year.

A Popular Dessert

The first supplies were sold out in just a few days, making it one of the most sought after desserts in Croatia.

Podravka developed the two-color cream spread in 1998, which is now available in five flavours in more than 20 countries across all continents.

The IIIC is an association of independent ice cream producers from across the world that aims to share experiences and knowledge through training and workshops.

Each year, it organises a summit in one of its member states, and one of the highlights of this event is the distribution of prizes for various ice cream categories.
