Danone Considers Marketing Companies For Yoghurt Portfolio

Four leading marketing agencies – BETC Paris, Droga5, Mother London and Adam & Eve/DDB – are vying to take control of Danone’s yoghurt portfolio, in which are contained some of the world’s biggest brands for the category, CampaignLive.co.uk reports.

The firm that lands the account will push brands Activia, Actimel, Danette, Danacol, Densia, Danonio, Oikos, and Danio. Danone is curently the world’s biggest yoghurt company.

In previous years, Young & Rubicam controlled the PR accounts of leading Danone brands such as Activia, Actimel and Danio, though the US firm is understood to be out of contention on this occasion.

Danone reported its slowest third-quarter sales-growth in more than a decade, missing analysts’ estimates, amid a slowdown in baby food. It recently picked up the 2016 Global Shared Value Award for its positive initiatives in health, nutrition, and sound water-management.
