Delaméa Named Head Of Oils And Condiments At Groupe Avril

Seasoned Danone executive Olivier Delaméa has been named Groupe Avril’s managing director of oils and condiments.

His appointment, which also sees him join Avril’s executive committee, is part of the ‘Avril 2020’ initiative, which will see the company expand in France and internationally.

In the past, Delaméa has been responsible for the development of brands such as Danone, Activia, and Danette.

Groupe Avril notes that during ‘his ten-year membership of the Danone Produits Frais France Management Committee, [Delaméa] was particularly closely involved in reviving and supporting transformations in the dairy sector.  He also contributed to a certain number of projects of importance to the French agri-food industry, notably through his membership of the Boards of Ania, Ilec and Eco-Emballages.’

With his new remit are Lesieur, the leading food oil company and third-biggest condiment maker in France; Société de Production des Huiles de Bourbon à La Réunion; Compagnie des Saveurs, which makes organic oils; Avril’s Moroccan business Lesieur Cristal; Cristal Tunisie in Tunisia; Oleosen in Senegal; and Expur in Romania.
