Exciting Disrupter Brands To Participate In Food Matters Live 2019

  • Food Matters Live 2019 is an unmissable opportunity to forge new business connections with some of the UK's emerging food and drink brands.

    The event, scheduled on 19 and 20 November at ExCeL London, will also host live theatre experiences and demonstrations, an illustrious awards ceremony, and an inspiring educational programme.

    A new attraction this year will be the prestigious Food Matters Live 2019 'UK Future Brands' pavilion, featuring the best challenger companies.

    Hundreds of new food and drink start-ups entered the 'Future Brands' competition, which set out to discover innovative businesses with a promising future.

    Through a rigorous selection process, a team of influential buyers selected the winners, which will be showcased in the pavilion. 

    Director of Food Matters Live, Briony Mansell-Lewis, said, "Over the past few months, our UK Future Brands judges have done the hard work and selected some of the best and brightest new companies, which also meet the rigorous commercial and professional standards expected by supermarkets."

    Winners

    The ‘UK Future Brands’ winners include 5th Season Fruit, which created a range of nutritious freeze-dried snacks from 100% fruit. 

    Other winners include Purely Plantain, UK's first premium brand of plantain snacks, and the Doughlicious range of gluten-free cookie dough.

    Purpose Foods was also named among the winners for its a low-sugar breakfast cereal, GoGo Roos.

    Judge Olivier Sevenou of Pladis Global said, "The best entries showcased great innovative thinking, looking for a first-mover advantage in emerging consumer trends as well as creating clear USP at the core of their propositions."
