It will welcome more than 1,000 influential actors from across the global food industry, with more than 50 countries set to be represented.

In addition, specialist breakout sessions will examine the growing presence of blockchain in the supply chain; capability building in developing markets; innovations in technology and data management; the changing face of the global retail marketplace; mitigating supply chain risk; and much more.

Align, Share And Learn

“Food safety is a foundation for any type of food business,” commented Emmanuel Faber, chief executive of Danone. “For Danone, and its mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible, food safety is all the more important. Our ambition to inspire healthier and more sustainable eating and drinking practices would be meaningless if we did not start with safe food.”

Faber added that the GFSI conference offers the “perfect” platform to “align, share and learn” alongside the global food safety community.

His sentiment was echoed by Dirk van de Put, CEO of Mondelēz International, who said that at a time of “technological advancement, increasing sustainability pressures, and changing consumer demographics, the food industry is experiencing pivotal change. The GFSI Conference seeks to equip industry leaders with the necessary insights to stay one step ahead of the curve, facilitating the largest collaborative conversation on food safety advancement worldwide.”
