Mars Inc has appointed Brendan McLoughlin as the country manager of its Irish division. He will replace Bill Heague, who returned to Australia earlier this year.

McLoughlin has 17 years’ worth of experience in the FMCG and consumer healthcare industry.

Most recently, he led Johnson & Johnson’s consumer healthcare business as the country manager.

President of Mars Multisales, Michael Ryan, welcomed McLoughlin to the team and said, “His experience, leadership, knowledge of the market and commitment to building win-win relationships with retail partners stood out. I’m excited about the future of our business in Ireland.”

An Experienced Professional

McLoughlin started his career in the FMCG sector with Reckitt Benckiser as an account manager.

In 2017, he was appointed as the country manager of Johnson & Johnson in Ireland.

He graduated in arts from NUI Maynooth and earned his MBA from Henley Business School, London.

Commenting on his appointment, McLoughlin, said, “We are spending more time at home than ever before, with many of us rediscovering home cooking, bonding with pets or enjoying more quality time with our family whether it’s watching a movie or playing a board game.
