Mondelēz International Inaugurates New Global Technical Centre In India

Mondelēz International has inaugurated its new global technical centre in Thane in India to support the development of new products and technologies for the company’s global brands.

The $15 million (€13.2 million) technical centre will also focus on improving consumer science, packaging, and productivity.

It will employ around 150 scientists, developers, engineers, analytical chemists, and other specialists.

It is a part of the company’s strategy to invest $65 million (€57 million) in developing a global network of state-of-the-art technical hubs, across the world, to support its growth-oriented innovation agenda.

Growth Strategy

Mondelēz International EVP and president for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA), Maurizio Brusadelli, said, “Our AMEA region hosts three global technical centres – the other two being in China and Singapore – demonstrating that our dynamic markets are at the heart of the company’s growth strategy.
