Nestlé Executive Appointed Chairman Of Global Apprenticeship Network

Nestlé has announced that its executive vice-president and the CEO of the American zone, Laurent Freixe, has been elected as the new chairman of the Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN).

Freixe, who assumes office today (18 June), will hold the position for two years.

He will succeed Alain Dehaze, the CEO of The Adecco Group, who led GAN for the past three and a half years.

Dehaze was instrumental in expanding the organisation’s membership and network to 16 countries across the world.

'Stepping-Up Collaborative Work'

Commenting on his new role at the official handover ceremony, Freixe said that he looks forward to "stepping-up our [GAN] collaborative work as GAN Chair by bringing business and government together, and continuing this great journey connecting education and employment through work-based learning."

GAN encourages businesses to empower people with 21st-century skills by implementing work-based learning approaches that are inclusive, diverse, and accessible.
