Nestlé Rolls Out 'Young Culinary Talents' Programme Globally

Nestlé has announced plans to roll out its 'Young Culinary Talents' (YOCUTA) programme across the world.

The programme was first launched in Latin America in 2015, and has already helped more than 2,000 students build a career in the foodservice sector.

The training programme will be conducted by Nestlé Professional's business-to-business division, the food giant said

YOCUTA is part of the global 'Nestlé Needs YOUth initiative', and aims to help around 10 million young people around the world gain to access to employment opportunities.

CEO Nestlé Americas Region and Nestlé Global Youth Initiative Founder and Leader, Laurent Freixe, commented, "Since 2013, through our Nestlé needs YOUth initiative, we have supported hundreds of thousands of people to be prepared for the world of work.

"The YOCUTA programme can help prepare youth to find not just a job, but a rewarding lifelong profession with the potential for a successful career in the foodservice industry, and the opportunity to create their own business as well,” he added.

The Programme

YOCUTA will give young people in the age group of 16 to 30 the opportunity to explore and develop their culinary talents through theoretical and practical training.

Nestlé will collaborate with culinary schools, foodservice associations, and other industry partners to organise a number of free training sessions.
