Pernod Ricard Partners With Italicus Rosolio Bergamot

Pernod Ricard has announced a new partnership with Italian aperitif, Italicus Rosolio Bergamot, thereby strengthening its portfolio of speciality brands.

Italicus is 20% alcohol by volume and uses high-quality, naturally sourced Italian ingredients such as Calabrian bergamot.

The bottle design embodies the history and heritage of Italy’s distinctive regions and tells the story of Rosolio’s time-honoured traditional drinking occasion - Aperitivo.

Brand Development

Based in Turin, Italicus was created by world-renowned mixologist and Italian spirits expert Giuseppe Gallo, who will be the active CEO in the brand’s ongoing development.

The uniquely flavoured aperitif has received numerous awards, including Best New Spirit 2017 at the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards; Best New European Spirit at the Mixology Awards 2017 in Berlin; the 2019/2020 Top-trending liquor brand by Drinks International.

In just three years since its launch, Rosolio di Bergamotto has expanded its presence in more than 30 markets around the world.

It is now set to grow at an even more dynamic pace in both the UK and the USA.

Accelerate Global Distribution

According to Giuseppe Gallo, founder and CEO of Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, the partnership with Pernod Ricard, will enable the brand to accelerate global distribution and build Italicus into one of the world’s most successful aperitif brands.

Pernod Ricard is the second-largest spirits group in the world after Diageo and its brands are distributed across over 160 markets.
