P&G Achieves Clean Water Target Ahead Of Deadline: Report

FMCG giant P&G has announced that it has reached its target of providing 15 billion litres of clean water through its Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Programme this year, ahead of its 2020 deadline.

P&G highlighted this achievement in its 2019 Citizenship Report, which shares the progress of the company in areas such as community impact, diversity and inclusion, gender equality and environmental sustainability.

Value Creation

David Taylor, P&G’s president and chief executive officer, commented, "We’ve built citizenship into our business, and it’s not only doing good, it’s building trust and equity with consumers, and driving growth and value creation—allowing us to be a force for good and a force for growth.

The company, which operates in about 70 countries across the world, leveraged its scale, innovation, employees, and the reach of its 65 prominent brands to carry out its social responsibilities.

This year, the company was recognised with higher rankings on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies and the Axios Harris Poll 100, the report said.
