Unilever Ireland Names New Vice-President
Unilever Ireland has announced the appointment of Emily Pittman as its new vice-president and general manager.
She will report to Sebastian Munden, the executive vice-president and general manager of Unilever UK and Ireland.
'An Experienced Professional'
Pittman is an experienced professional and has held senior strategy and revenue growth roles at Coca-Cola UK and Ireland.
In 2017, Pittman joined Unilever as part of the UK and Ireland executive leadership team with responsibilities for revenue growth and strategic development.
She also has several years' worth of experience working for FMCG consultancies.
Munden said, “We’re delighted that Emily is taking up this important leadership role. She brings a wealth of experience, energy, and expertise - a combination I know will drive forward our business in Ireland."
In her new role, Pittman will be responsible for growing Unilever’s business in Ireland, and work in partnership with the FMCG giant's retail and wholesale customers.
She will also lead the Irish sales and marketing team, the company said.
Pittman commented, "As one of Ireland’s largest FMCG companies, I’m excited to get started and build on the success that has already been established with some of the nation’s most loved brands.
"I have a strong passion for women in business and I hope I can create an example for how women can lead and be people-first, authentic leaders."
Pittman will succeed Nick Johnson, who spent five years in the role before moving on to a global position within the company.
