Soft-drink makers AG Barr have revealed an 8% rise in sales for the third quarter. The increase in sales is due to the hot summer this year.
The Scottish company said volumes grew 6.4% ahead of its fourth quarter eight volume growth of 5.1% ahead of the wider markets 3.1% growth.
"The soft drinks market remains highly competitive as we enter the important Christmas trading period." said a spokeswoman for the company.
"We are now executing our strong seasonal trading plans and remain confident of delivering our full-year performance expectations despite tough year-on-year trading comparatives."
AG Barr makes popular drinks such as Irn-Bru, Tizer and Cherryade.
