Jameson Sales Continue To Rise Regardless of Pernod's Profit Dip

Distilling company Pernod Richard's sales declined from July to September of this year. The company's revenue in the three months from July was €2 billion, with sales down 1% compared last year in the same quarter. The drinks maker say this was mainly because of poor sales in China. The company largely depends on Asia for almost half of its recurring profits.

Despit this Jameson sales continue to soar. Jameson sales went up 13% in the last quarter. The spirit has been one of the Pernod's best sellers since 1998, when the company bought the distillery from its original owners.

Irish Distillers are now preparing for an expansion in its bottling facility so it can keep up with the whiskey's high demand.
