Asda Expands Its Wine Range

Walmart-owned grocer Asda has added more than 60 new wines to its range. The new products were sourced through its sourcing and importing branch, International Produce Limited (IPL).

The total percentage of Asda’s wines sourced through the branch now comes to 35 per cent. The retailer is now offering wines from lesser known regions: the new listings include wines from France, Spain and Italy. “We are delighted to be offering Asda shoppers something new and exciting to try and look forward to continuing this partnership with IPL to source top quality wines at prices that represent fantastic value for money for our customers," said Asda’s wine selection manager Phillippa Carr.

The retailer recently won 115 awards for its private label range at the London International Wine Fair. (5 June)
