Chief Executive To Leave Germany's Warsteiner Group

German brewer Warsteiner Group announced that its chief executive, Alessandra Cama, is set to leave the group at the end of the year.

Former GfK executive Cama joined the brewery a year ago and took charge of the newly created strategy and corporate development department, tasked with preparing and implementing the brewer's future strategy.

This strategy, launched last year, have already shown substantial results in 2018, particularly when it comes to sales, with an improved cost structure leading to positive results both in Germany and abroad.

"Alessandra Cama has significantly helped us regain market share," owner and managing partner Catharina Cramer was quoted as saying by www.rundschau.de.

The Successor

Cama's colleague, Christian Gieselmann, who has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry, takes over at the helm of the company, as well as taking control of the its sales and marketing department.
