Heineken has acquired Belgian cider maker Stassen Ciders. Heineken already owns the Bulmers and Strongbow cider brands. It is the UK’s market leader for cider.
"Consumers around the world are increasingly intrigued by cider," said Alexis Nasard, chief commercial officer at Heineken. "We are well positioned to capitalise on this opportunity." Stassen Ciders operates a cider making plant, a research and development division and a de-alcoholisation facility for cider, beer and wine.
