Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced plans to introduce salad bars in approximately 100 stores before the end of this year.

The decision follows a successful pilot project in several stores, the retailer added.

The salad bar is part of the Albert Heijn’s fresh department and will offer 100% natural salads without artificial preservatives.

Salad Assortment

The salad assortment will offer customers the option to choose from six mixed salads, four toppings, and two dressings.

The mixed salad options include, among others, pasta salad, quinoa salad, a niçoise salad, or a coleslaw.
