Cherkizovo Sees Chicken Sales Volume Up 27% In May

Russian meat producer Cherkizovo Group has posted a 27% year-on-year increase in the sales volume of chicken to 56,920 tonnes in May 2019.

The sales volume of turkey declined 19% to 20,950 tonnes during the month when compared with the results from May 2018.

The volume of pork production remained constant during the period but sales volume increased by 3%.

Cherkizovo's meat processing unit reported a 6% year-on-year increase in volume during the period to 20,810 tonnes, driven by growth in its carcass and by-products segment.
