Coop Netherlands Chicken Now 'Beter Leven' Certified

Coop Netherlands has announced that all its own-brand chicken meat products have acquired the 'Beter Leven' quality mark.

All private-label chicken meat products sold in Coop outlets now have at least 1 star 'Beter Leven' certification, the retailer said.

The 'Beter Leven' certification ensures that the products are sourced from a sustainable supply chain and farms that comply with animal welfare standards.

Sustainable Products

Over the years, the retailer has implemented several measures to make its range more sustainable in the country.

Its complete eggs assortment is 'Beter Leven' certified, while it sources beef from Dutch Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle, which has acquired the two-star 'Beter Leven' quality mark.
